I love this picture!!

I'm told that 200 cubic metres of concrete is being put in the foundations today - see concrete mixer lorries in action.
The white lines on the coach park are only temporary as there is still another layer of tarmac to go on.
The "Gate House" is being installed at the coach park entrance next week.
Poppy and lorry shot for those that like that sort of thing, ie me!

Double act with Barry Izbak today.
Look out for his films very soon.
He is in the poppy photo.
Coach park tarmac nearly finished as told would happen last week.
Lots of chalk from massive holes (foundations), being taken over the road.
The metal cages are honeycomb foundation reinforcements which will be placed in the bottom of the trenches, before being filled with concrete.
This will prevent subsidence, sideways movement etc of the stands.
I'm sending on a sub next week due to more globe trotting

Due to popular demand, 2 lots of photos again this week, 25A & 25B.

Spoke to a site manager today.
The grey stuff on the pitch area is crushed brick.
This is only temporary as the heavy plant which will be working from this area can't operate on a surface of wet chalk. It will be removed before the pitch construction gets under way.
The cement mixer is tipping concrete in the east stand foundations. This is now 70% complete, and when finished will be left to cure for a short while before the steel arrives.
The steel is all ready for shipment, and should arrive in the next two weeks.
The site offices etc have flown north for the summer as this area should have it's final layer of tarmac put down next week.
