2 lots again this week, to make up for me not being around next week, but normal service will resume the week after.
Looks like the concourse is appearing at NE boundary, joining the coach park.
Dip on south side of Village Way virtually filled up.
Top soil being put in a heap here too.
Top soil being put at bottom of Village Way cliff on stadium side.
Loads of action taking place all over both sides of Village Way.

22nd May 2009

2 lots today, as I couldn't pick the best 5.
Lots of chalk being taken across the road to fill in the big dip in the farmers field opposite.
Definite rectangular shape (pitch?) quite visible now.
Loads and loads of heavy plant action.
Sign in bottom left (NW) corner saying "Future Home of Brighton & Hove Albion" has been over-grafittied in red spray-paint with "Toys R Us"!
As I was about to put my ladder back in my car, a rather nice young lady came running out of the farm shop asking if I was Jack Straw. I said I was, but I wasn't! She said she looked forwards to my Falmer Watch each Friday, so perhaps I might be buying my half-time apple from there after all?!!

15th May 2009

Tarmac sub-base being laid in coach park.
Intricate foundation digging for east stand.
Site made flat by "cut & fill" with the chalk at the bottom (NW) corner, higher than the 8` security fence.

Journey to the centre of the earth!

Not sure when this was taken and who by, but a great aerial view!

1st May 2009

Hole slightly bigger than last week.
Square of tarmac put down in the coach park area.
Saw two men wearing "Southern Cranes & Access" hi-viz vests, walking towards the site office. Imminent crane erection perhaps?
Lots of wooden T-bones all over the place.
